What makes a connection note work

    • One specific detail. A group, a post or an event proves you looked, and a generic line proves you did not.
    • No pitch. The note gets you accepted. The pitch comes later, and only if there is a reply.
    • Short. Two sentences beat five. The limit is 300 characters, and shorter is usually better.
    • Sounds like you. Rewrite a line or two before you send. Identical notes sent to hundreds of people read that way.

    Frequently asked questions

How long can a LinkedIn connection note be?

Connection request notes are limited to 300 characters. Every note this tool writes fits inside that limit, and the counter under each one shows how much room is left.

Should I add a note to every connection request?

Not always. A specific note works better than a generic one, and a blank request is fine when you have nothing specific to say. Notes like "I'd like to add you to my network" add nothing.

Does the tool send anything or store what I type?

No. It runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved.

What makes a connection note get accepted?

A real reason for connecting, a specific detail that shows you looked at their profile, and no pitch. Short beats long. Edit the notes so they sound like you.
