A chat assistant alone cannot run outreach
Asking a chat assistant for a connection note is easy, but it cannot see your contacts, your inbox or your campaign results, and it cannot send anything safely on its own. Connecting it to FollowArc gives it a controlled way to read and draft from your real workspace.
What you can ask it to do
Look up contacts and recent replies, see which threads are waiting on you ranked by buyer intent, check campaign stats, and ask for three reply drafts in your voice. It can also build a full step sequence from a short brief, and that campaign is always saved as a draft with no contacts so nothing starts until you activate it in the app.
The safety stack still applies
If you give the connection a write key, an invite it sends goes through the same limits, send window and suppression list as the app, and a read-only key cannot send at all. Activating a campaign, deleting data and getting around send limits stay in the app. Text that comes from contacts, such as reply bodies, is fenced as data before the AI tool sees it.
How to connect
In a client that supports custom connectors, such as Claude, add the FollowArc server address from the MCP page and sign in. For other tools, create an API key in Settings, choose read-only or write access, and send it as a Bearer token. The AI tool uses its own model access, so you do not need separate API credits for FollowArc.

Can Claude or ChatGPT send LinkedIn messages through FollowArc?
Only within the safety checks. A write-enabled connection can send a connection request through the full stack of limits, send window and suppression list, and a read-only key cannot send anything. Campaigns are built as drafts and started by you.
What is MCP?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets an AI tool connect to outside software through a defined set of tools. FollowArc publishes its tools through it so assistants can work with your workspace.
Does the AI tool see my other customers or workspaces?
No. It only reaches workspaces you are a member of, and only what the tools return.
Do I still need the FollowArc app?
