    Send window

A send window is the set of days and hours during which outreach is allowed to go out, usually matched to the recipient's or sender's working hours.

Instead of sending around the clock, a send window limits activity to chosen hours, such as weekday business hours in a given time zone. This makes activity look natural and reaches people when they are more likely to read it.

It also adds a safety layer. Messages scheduled outside the window wait until it opens, so nothing goes out at odd hours by accident. Time zones matter, so define which zone the window follows.

Best times vary by audience and are worth testing with your own data. A send window works together with daily send limits to keep volume predictable and spread across the day.

    Common questions

What time zone should a send window use?

Pick one deliberately, usually the recipient's working hours or the sender's, and apply it consistently.

What happens to messages queued outside the window?

They wait and go out once the window opens.
